More Californians 65 and older can get shots as Santa Clara County, Sutter Health change policies

Californians over 65 are getting more options for vaccinations, as Sutter Health and Santa Clara County announced that people in that age range could sign up for shots. “Our effort to get more and more folks vaccinated requires both simplicity and clarity, and we’ve had too little of both, quite frankly, until today,” said Supervisor Joe Simitian. He added: “If we say we’re all in this together, we have to mean it. We have to provide access to the vaccine, and that access cannot be dependent on who your healthcare provider is, or the number of vaccines they happen to have received in any given week.”
